Dr Zakevia Lewis-Kendrick, Ed.D

Zakevia Lewis-Kendrick is a Licensed Clinical Social Work –Associate in the state of North Carolina and is a Human Services Board Certified Practitioner in the state of South Carolina. She has a BSW from Limestone College and a MSW from the University of South Carolina. Zakevia received her Doctoral degree from Argosy University in the Department of Counseling Psychology, as well as hundreds of hours in continuing education.

Zakevia has more than 10 years of experience in the field of social work and case management. She has experience in a wide range of disciplines, including family, adults, child/adolescent, and individual/groups. She is efficient, innovative, highly motivated professional, adept at developing, establishing, and coordinating therapy and counseling programs. Zakevia is dedicated to helping others improve their lives through, Education (leading training seminars, instructing university-level course, and training staff). Insight,(conducting psychological assessments, development and implementation of treatment plans; knowledgeable in therapeutic treatment models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Narrative Therapy (NT)., and Change (establish rewarding relationships to benefit women, men, and child welfare and optimize clinical settings).

Zakevia is a mother of one son. She has over 12 years experience as an educator, counselor, and clinical therapist interacting with families of all types in South Carolina. As a family therapist, she is able to integrate her knowledge of education and mental health issues to help families’ problem-solve, overcome personal issues, and work toward positive home and school experiences. Zakevia also counsels individually with adults who are experiencing life transitions, mood disorders, grief and loss, or psychological and spiritual problems. Her clients include those who wish to improve their marriages, parenting, communication, and/or life skills.
